While I was digging through my stash I came across pretty skeins of variegated sock yarn. I got this itch to take one of them and cast on. But it‘s not always easy to find a pattern for such colorful yarns. Most stitch patterns will just vanish underneath all that color. I couldn‘t think of one I wanted to knit and knitting plain socks in stockinette or allover ribbing is not something I enjoy doing a lot of. Then I came across this stitch pattern. I knew that it would be great for the yarn I had pulled out.

The open stranded work on the front in between columns of purls and knit stitches show off all the beautiful colors of this heavily variegated yarn. It‘s easily memorized and easy to knit.

Sizes S, M, L - 8.5 9, 9.5 inches (the fabric is quite stretchy and will fit well with negative ease)
Materials Any sock yarn will work but it will look best when knit in heavily variegated yarns with short color repeats. How much yarn you will need will depend on how long the sock should be but one 100g skein of sock yarn should be more than enough.
