BALLAD PULLOVER
The Ballad pullover is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan increases. The sleeves are knitted in Stockinette stitch, and the body has a beautiful original lace pattern that is easy to memorize.
The lace pattern is charted only. The pattern includes separate lace charts for each size.

Finished bust circumference: 85.5 (100, 114.5, 128.5, 143, 157, 171.5) cm / 33.75 (39.25, 45, 50.5, 56.25, 61.75, 67.5) inches including 15 cm / 6 inches of positive ease.
Raglan length 15 (17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28) cm / 6 (6.75, 7.5, 8.75, 9.5, 10.25, 11) inches
Body length: 30 cm / 11.75 inches (adjustable)
Sleeve length: 45 cm / 17.75 inches (adjustable)
Upper arm circumference: 29 (31, 33.5, 37.5, 46, 50, 53.5) cm / 11.5 (12.25, 13.25, 14.75, 18, 19.75, 21) inches
Yarn
6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) balls of De Rerum Natura Cyrano (100% merino wool; 150 m / 164 yards per 100g), or 850 (925, 1020, 1125, 1250, 1375, 1525) m / 925 (1000, 1125, 1225, 1375, 1500, 1675) yards of similar aran weight yarn.

Needles
For ribbing:
5.0 mm / US 8 DPNs or circular needles with a cable suitable for small circumference knitting for the cuffs
5.0 mm / US 8 circular needles with a cable of 40 cm / 16 inches for the neckband
5.0 mm / US 8 circular needles with a cable of 80 cm / 32 inches for sizes 1-3 or 100 cm / 40 inches for sizes 4-7 for the hem
For the main part
5.5 mm / US 9 DPNs or circular needles with a cable suitable for small circumference knitting for the sleeves
5.5 mm / US 9 circular needles with a cable of 40 cm / 16 inches for the sleeves
5.5 mm / US 9 circular needles with a cable of 80 cm / 32 inches for sizes 1-3 or 100 cm / 40 inches for sizes 4-7 for the body
Gauge
14 sts and 22 rounds = 10 cm / 4 inches of Stockinette stitch on the larger needles in the round, blocked.
Note: always use the needle size that gets you the right gauge!
