Before Sunset
Before Sunset is an elegant shawl that features combination of texture and lace. The shawl’s body is knitted bottom-up with the stitches later picked up for the border from the yo loops used for shawl increases. It is fun and easy construction to knit. Suitable for a lazy night in or for a stroll along the shoreline, this light, yet warm shawl is perfect for all year round.
Finished Size
After blocking, the sample shawl measures 194cm (76 inches) long along the top edge and 85cm (34 inches) deep. You can easily adjust the size of your shawl. Instructions are written for the sample size shown. Detailed instructions are also given on how to adjust the pattern to make two other sizes, one larger and one smaller than the sample size.
Gauge
The gauge in the lace body pattern after blocking measures 13 sts x 28 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm.
Yarn
Sample shawl was knitted with SW Merino | SPORT by Orange Flower (Sport / 5 ply 100% Merino, 323 yards / 100 grams)
Color 1: 2 skeins = 646.0 yards (591 meters), 200 g in colorway Opal.
Color 2: 0.5 skeins=162 yards (148 meters), 50 g in colorway Tea Rose.

US5 – 3.75 mm needles
US6 – 4.00 mm needles for BO.
