Pattern Makeover Alert
Enjoy the new Big Sister for 15% off through Friday, May 10 at midnight PDT, no code needed. And check out the brand new Big Sis Sport, which is also on sale!
If you have a sister, you either swiped clothes from her closet, or you were like I was and were the victim of your little sister’s deviousness. If we still lived together, I can tell you that this sweater would have already mysteriously disappeared from my closet. This charming, go-with-everything cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down with no finishing required as the collar is worked alongside the body. It now also includes optional top opening set-in pockets for your goodies and two sleeve length options.
Check out the lighter version here & the children’s version here.

SIZING
Finished Chest Measurement includes Collar overlap. Sweater is shown in Size 4 with approx. 2”/5 cm positive ease. To choose your size, begin by finding the two sizes that surround your chest circumference. Then, because this cardigan is designed to be worn open, I recommend referring to the schematic to compare your Upper Arm circumference with the patterned circumference to finalize your size choice so that it fits your arms rather than worrying about your chest as you normally would. You can also check out Big Sis Sport to see the lighter weight version modeled with negative ease at the chest; don’t stress over choosing your size, as several sizes will work just fine for you.
EXPERIENCE
Pattern is written for adventurous beginning level knitters ready to track several stitch patterns while shaping and comfortable with picking up and knitting sts. Pattern suggests a provisional cast-on but includes instructions provided to replace with a standard cast-on. It also features a cable cast-on & a video tutorial linked in pattern demonstrates this technique if it is new to you. This same tutorial also demonstrates separating the sleeves from body.
