Cascading Yoke
The Cascading Yoke pattern was inspired by meandering rivers and the myriad little waterfalls and streams that branch off of them. My favorite aspect of this sweater is the transition between the yoke pattern and the ribbing—how the smaller branches of the river break off into smaller, more calm ribs (streams).
I chose a bold yellow sunshine color because I also see beams of sunlight branching off the sunny yoke, and I think that the bright yellow is just the right color to bring a little more joy to this summer’s knitting.
