Corolle is a sophisticated and feminin shawl. The contrast between the light and airy center and the large ruffled border gives it plenty of personality. Besides its beauty, the border gives the shawl excellent drape and underlines its crescent shape.

The center is worked from side to side, as a “baktus”. A small edging is added to the top of the shawl, to tighten the edge and underline the shape. Finally, the large border with its opulent flowers is added at the bottom edge.

The pattern is both written and illustrated with charts.
The shawl in the photos was crocheted in a vintage laceweight yarn at 300 m (330 yds) per 50 g. You will need around 1500 m (1640 yds) of yarn.

Corolle et un châle sophistiqué et féminin, sublimé par le contraste entre son centre léger et délicat, évoquant le plumetis, et sa bordure volantée, généreuse et riche. Cette bordure donne également au châle un beau tomber, qui accentue sa forme en croissant de lune.

Le centre est crocheté d’une pointe de côté à l’autre, sur le principe du “baktus”. Ensuite, une petite bordure est exécutée en haut du châle, pour resserrer le bord et accentuer la forme. Finalement, la grande bordure en corolles de fleurs est ajoutée en bas du châle.

Corolle är en sofistikerad och feminin sjal, designad av EclatDuSoleil/Hélène Marcy. Den får sin alldeles egna personlighet av kontrasten mellan det lätta, luftiga mittpartiet och den generösa volangkanten. Den magnifika kanten ger också sjalen fall och tyngd, och understryker dess halvmåneform.

Mittpartiet virkas från ena sidan till den andra, enligt “baktusprincipen”. En liten kant virkas sedan längs sjalens ovankent, för att dra samman kanten och förstärka formen. Till slut virkas de stora blommorna längs nederkanten, som formar volangen.

Sjalen på bilderna virkades i ett fyndat garn med en löplängd på 300 m per 50 g. Ca 1500 m garn behövs till sjalen.
