A one-ball project designed specifically for our oversized Shaniko Superwash Worsted gradient yarn. This is a fun project that wonderfully shows off all the lovely qualities of this yarn, the slow-changing gradient, the plumpness and softness of the yarn, the stitch definition as well as the extended yardage.

The cowl is worked in an easy-to-manage repeating brioche stitch, with increases along one edge and tubular selvedges to mimic the wide wale brioche stitch. Once you’ve worked all but the last few feet of yarn, bind off, sew one short seam and you’ll have a reversible cowl that you’ll be looking for excuses to wear everywhere!

The cowl is a high-collared neckerchief shape that can be styled a myriad of ways to suit your mood or the weather. The cowl begins narrower at the neck and widens in height and width to cover your shoulders.

Finished size expands from approximately 7.5” to 16” in height (side to side), and from 20” to 34” in circumference (neck to bottom edge) .
