Deer in woods
Deer in woods lace runner filet crochet pattern.
This design shows fawns (baby deer) in woods, jumping over mushrooms, looking around carefully as they approach to be fed from the bushes and trees. A traditional heirloom thread crochet pattern. Originally was used as insertion and a decorative lace with a simple border on a piece of thin woven fabric.
You can use any weight yarn in your favorite color.
Best with cotton size 10 crochet thread and recommended crochet hook 6, 7, 8, B-1 (1.6-2.25 mm)
Repeat pattern as long as you like. Use the pattern as a runner with or without any border or as an insertion to a curtain or tablecloth.

Note: Some adjustments regarding symmetricity were made from the original heirloom vintage doily during the software process to comply with the filet crochet technique. In the original doily, there is a very simple trigonal lace but you can add any other edging you like or no lace at all.
