Dianthus
One of the first knitted gifts I ever made was a lace scarf for my mum. She loved it and wore it many times over that winter and requested a hat to match. Sadly, within a couple of months of her request we found out she had pancreatic cancer and she died aged 59, just two weeks later. I am dedicating this pattern in her memory and to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK in the hope that one day a cure can be found for this terrible disease.
I have named this pattern after mum’s favourite flower which comes from the greek word for divine, as does her name. Knitted in aran weight yarn, feel divine with this easy to knit and suitable for a beginner lace pattern hat.

Pancreatic cancer survival rates are one of the worst in the world. Please consider making a donation on my just giving page to Pancreatic Cancer UK for this pattern.
