Flying Dragon Shawl and applique. Make the dragon first, The background is attached to the dragons body and wings, but worked separately form the head tail and legs. You will sew them to the background when you finish. Make in any weight yarn.
Yarn choices:
The first dragon shawl I made I used a variegated yarn with short color changes for both the dragon and the background. The dragon’s features blended in and you couldn’t see them It showed up clearly in white. But one tester used purple, and she wasn’t pleased with how well you could see the dragon.
