Yardage requirements are for the adult size, the others will use less. MC approximately 188, CC approximately 95 yds., bulky. The hat is worked from the bottom up flat, switching to in the round. The ribbed edging is picked up and knitted. The punctuation pieces are knit separately and appliqued.

This is my first written knitting pattern, and it has not been test knitted, though I have made four. I would happily welcome any comments from those who try the pattern.

Le bonnet se tricote à plat pour le bas et se continue en rond pour la tête au point de jersey. La bordure est en côtes 2/2, sur des mailles relevées sur le bonnet. Le point d’exclamation et le point (devant) sont des pièces tricotées à plat au point mousse et cousues par la suite. Les explications sont en trois tailles.
