The Kanti Baby Cardi is knit seamlessly from the top down. It begins with a provisional cast-on at the back of the collar. The left collar is knit, stitches are cast-on for the left shoulder then the left front is knit to the bottom of the armhole. Left front stitches are put onto a holder. Provisional cast-on stitches are returned to needle and the right collar and front are knit then put onto a holder. Stitches are picked up along each shoulder and along the selvedge edge of the back collar, and the back is knit to the bottom of the armholes. The fronts and back are all placed onto the needle and worked together for the body. Sleeve stitches are picked up around each armhole edge. The sleeve caps are shaped with short rows in k2, p2 ribbing, then the sleeve is worked in the round.
