The Luna Moth Shawl is a top-down, triangular shoulder shawl in 2 mirror image sections. The Luna Moth motif is a modified diagonal fern lace pattern from Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns, page 211. It is a 20 row repeat pattern - all even number rows (wrong side return rows) are purled. The basic structure of the shawl is very simple. On the same row, the double decrease stitch is always in the same direction on one side (right) and mirror image on the other side (left). Therefore, it is a good beginner/ intermediate shawl.

5.0 mm (US H/8) crochet hook is used for provisional cast on.
