Mini whip created for a dungeon & dragon rpg caracter.
The final product in the picture is not so nice because i start to learn to knit less than one week ago.

I used 1 pair of dpn 5 mm (and 1 tapestry needle).
Gauge doesn’t matter. Small amount of yarn are needed, so you can use rests of yarn.

It is easy and quick to do as it is a decreasing i-cord from beginning to the end:

Cast 4 stitches and knit them as an I-cord until the length of the handle is desired (i did a 8 cm handle). Change color if you want to mark the separation between the handle and the strap then go back to the first color (or any wanted color).
Decrease (SKP) to have 3 stitches and continue to knit them as an I-cord for at least the same length than the handle (even more according your wish).
Decrease (SKP) to have 2 stitches and continue to knit as an i-cord for at least the same length than the handle.
Finally end the stitches and cut the yarn at the desired length.
Cross the tail of the handle through it with a tapestry needle and cut the tail as closed as possible to the exit, so the tail will stay inside the handle and will not be seen.
