INSPIRATION: Ribsy is a children’s book written by Beverly Cleary who lived here in Portland, Oregon. Ribsy was the beloved dog of the main character in the Henry Huggins series, and Ribsy took the star role in the sixth and final book of the series.

The Ribsy Hat is a rugged and textured design that is easy to make and super comfortable to wear. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize, requires zero charts, and results in a snuggly, squishy hat. The Ribsy Hat is a quick and soothing knit and is likely to become your favorite go-to hat.

It starts with a tubular cast-on but that can easily be replaced with another stretchy cast-on of your choice.

The hat is truly unisex, is offered in five sizes, and can be made in many yarn weights. The size will vary depending on yarn weight and gauge.

Add a pom pom if you wish to top it off… maybe use the contrast color for it?
