Notes on Upsizing
I have had questions on how to upsize this garment. I don’t necessarily recommend upsizing this design. I’ve found that it does not wear the same on all shapes/sizes of people. In particular, for very busty women it can look like a knitted bra over top of their clothing.

To upsize, not only would the width need to be increased but the length before seaming as well. If the wearer’s waist measurement is about equal to their bust then the lower border will need additional increases in order to meet up with the collar for seaming without pulling too snugly around the body. This will require some experimenting. If the person’s waist measurement is less than their bust then perhaps no additional increases will be needed in the lower border. If their waist measurement is greater than their bust I would caution against the project as it will likely have unflattering results by emphasizing the stomach.

The biggest problem with upsizing this design is that the shoulders will not fit the same. Before seaming, the piece is virtually a rectangle. As this rectangle gets wider you will end up with more “sleeve”. Since this “sleeve” is sort of a dolman shape on an otherwise fitted body larger sizes might experience awkward pulling at the armpits. Also, it should be noted that when the piece is seamed for larger sizes, the armscye may need to be deeper. Measure around the upper arm to determine this measurement.
