Snowflake Tea Cosy
by Heather G
This cosy is the perfect project for learning and practicing traditional Fair Isle techniques on a small scale before stepping up to larger items such as jumpers. Skills practiced include knitting with two colours and how to knit and cut steeks.
I wanted the pattern to be accessible to all so have included explanations of terms and techniques that the seasoned knitter will be familiar with but that might be new to a beginner.
Addendum: When the steeks are ready to be cut, you will still have live stitches held on a stitch holder. These can be bound off seperately or stitched through when the flaps are blanket stitched to secure them.
