Stippers
New! The super-easy Stratus Slippers pattern is now available, and is a great intro-to-Stippers pattern, complete with photo tutorials to learn new techniques.
These cozy slippers are a combination of clever construction, pretty cables, and simple shaping. Bulky yarn makes this the perfect pattern for a last-minute holiday gift, with no more finishing than a grafted toe.
Construction Notes:
Construction of the slipper begins at the center back of the heel, beginning with a figure-8 cast on. The sides and sole are worked simultaneously, back and forth, then later joined and worked in the round to the desired total length. Stitches are grafted at the toe giving the slipper a completely seamless finish - this allows it to be tried on as you go!
