Sunshine Flower Coasters are fast and simple to make, and the pattern includes a holder to make your set of coasters into the perfect gift, for a house warming or for Mother’s Day!

You will need two or three colours of yarn to make these coasters, a needle to sew in ends and an iron to block the coasters (blocking only takes about a minute per coaster).

Gauge is not important for this pattern. The coasters I made with Lily Sugar’n Cream yarn were about 10cm/4in across, and the ones made with Rico Creative Cotton Aran were about 9cm/3.5in across. The holder is 12cm/4.5in in diameter, and 2.5cm/1in tall.

One coaster uses around 15 yards of yarn; a set of 6 coasters and the holder uses about 140 yards.
