Always knit for your child based on your child’s head measurement and NOT the pattern age recommendations. Children head sizes vary greatly. The pattern has been written for “standard” head sizes.

Based on the Super-Natural Stripes pattern by Fawn Pea and measurements/decreases figured using the Knitting Fiend calculator.

And please bare with me…I don’t bother blocking for my own children!

Also note, the original was knit using a colorway and solid to match the sweater I knit using the fawn pea pattern. Notes are included on my blog for following the original color changes from the sweater pattern!
