Tête à Fetching
A hat inspired by, and designed to match the Fetching fingerless gloves pattern from Knitty.com’s Summer 2006 issue.
This hat uses a DK weight 100% cashmere yarn, giving a lightweight but warm knit fabric. However, the gauge is the same as in the Fetching pattern, so you can use certainly use the same yarn (for eg. Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran or similar) as you have for the gloves if you’ve made them. Using an aran weight yarn will give you a thicker, warmer fabric, so if you want this for a cold-weather hat, that’s what you should go for. Worsted weight yarns should also be fine, just as long as you get the right gauge, and a knitted fabric that you’re happy with.
Pattern Errata: “Rows 9-12:” should read “Rows 8-12:”, giving a group of five rows. The pdf pattern will be updated soon.
