Wedding Horseshoes
Materials required:
Either horseshoe using No 20 crochet cotton: approx 45 yards/40 metres colour No 20 crochet cotton in main colour plus 2-3 yards of contrast colours for flowers if required, 1.00 mm crochet hook for No 20 thread, 1 yard/metre ⅛th-inch/3 mm ribbon.
Either horseshoe using No 12 crochet cotton: approx 55 yards/50 metres No 12 crochet cotton in main colour plus 2-3 yards of contrast colours for flowers if required, 1.50 mm hook for No 12 thread, 1 yard/metre ¼-inch/5 mm ribbon.
Gauge:
This is difficult to work out as no rows are level however, 4 spaces at base of Row 1 = approx 1-inch/2.5 cm using No 20 thread and 3 spaces at base of Row 1 = approx 1-inch/2.5 cm using No 12 thread.
Finished sizes
Horseshoe with blue flowers:
4-inches/10 cm tall by 3½-inches/7.5 cm wide (using No 20 crochet thread)
6-inches/15 cm tall by 5-inches/12.5 cm wide (using No 12 crochet thread)
Horseshoe with pink flower:
4½-inches11.5 cm tall by 4-inches/10 cm wide (using No 20 crochet thread)
6½-inches/16.5 cm tall by 5inches/12.5 cm wide (using No 12 crochet thread)
