I’m Ani - the founder of Close Knit. I aim to hold space, physical and virtual, to foster community through fibre arts.

I’m drawn to simple, no-fuss knitting, and I aim to infuse my designs with this ethos. I believe in making things for the sake of it, because it just feels good, but also being mindful in the process. I try to source my materials thoughtfully and create designs that will be well-loved and passed down through generations.

In addition to designing, I blog over at closeknit.com.au about the process of becoming a knitwear designer (and all the many stumbling blocks along the way), and I love connecting with fibre artists from around the world.

I teach workshops, currently in Australia, but if there’s a workshop you’re keen to hold, get in touch - let’s make one happen.
