I learnt to knit and crochet as a child but mainly crocheted at that time. Later knitting took over.
About 20 years ago I acquired my first knitting machine; two more machines followed over the years. Currently I both hand and machine knit.

I hardly follow a pattern as given. In most cases I change it to suit my needs, or I devise my own version right away.
