My mother taught me how to knit when I was young. I don’t count this as knitting experience. At the time I was frustrated by any imperfection and would put down any project I started.
In 2012 my daughter encouraged me to try knitting after decades without knitting. I am no longer afraid of making a mistake. I can now experience the joy of knitting.
I consider myself a new knitter. Knitting is an adventure. I am discovering new (to me) ways to knit and new (to me) ways to recover from mistakes.I would like to bring this joy of knitting to other early knitters.
