This simple raglan cardigan deserves to be a staple in every knitter’s wardrobe. Worked in one piece from the top down, the sweater features reversible front borders and elegant shaping. Faux raglan, back and doubled side seams add visual interest. The optional longer sleeves include thumb openings which make the cuffs function like built-in fingerless mitts - perfect for those cooler days!
Sizes:
Bust: 31.5 (34, 36, 38.5, 43, 47.5, 50)“ blocked and buttoned.
Yarn:
Swans Island Pure Blends heavy worsted weight, Swans Island Natural Colors heavy worsted weight
4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5) skeins in MC, Color shown: Seasmoke
1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins in CC, Color shown: Goldenrod
Materials:
Stitch markers in 2 colors, scrap yarn or stitch holders, yarn needle, 2 small buttons (optional)
Notes:
The lower back is shaped using the nearly invisible German short-row method. If desired you may substitute whatever short-row method you prefer.
The buttonholes are optional, as are the longer sleeves that include thumbholes.
