20 Cornucopias Shawlette
Knit up the Cornucopia Shawlette or Scarf now, and be ready to celebrate the abundance of Harvest-Time blessings in the Fall. It is triangular in shape, and is knit sideways, and the lace edging is knit simultaneously with the triangular body. I used only 1 skein (310 yards) of Malabrigo’s DK weight Rastita slightly felted Merino wool yarn in their Volcan shade. My pictured shawlette has exactly 20 cornucopias in its lace edging (hence the name), and is more of a scarf at about 6 feet long and 9 inches wide at its widest point, but you can choose to make yours bigger and/or longer since instructions are given within the pattern to do this. This is a great beginner shawlette, or a relaxing one to knit while visiting or watching a movie. I include a chart and written instructions for the edging, and written instructions for how to increase and decrease the shawlette body. Also included are instructions for how to vary the shawlette for different amounts of yarn, or making the shawlette asymmetrical or in different triangular shapes.
Please Also Note For Anyone Who Got This Pattern And Isn’t Able To Download The Corrections:
The beginning of the instructions say to Cast on 20, Knit 2 rows, then Next Row: Knit 2, PM, knit 18, turn. This is a bit confusing since what I really meant was for the “Next Row” to read: “Knit 2, PM, knit Row 1 of the edging”
