Passap machine knitting instructions for a child’s sideways knit coat. The coat is closed with a zipper and a belt. The belt has a pocket attached.

The front and back are knit sideways as one piece, the sleeves, collar, pocket and belt separately.

The coat is knitted in stocking stitch and a “weaving stitch” (back bed GX, front bed with pushers alternately up and down, 12 rows GX ⬅️, 4 rows N).

The pattern calls for 670g “sport’s wool” (240m per 100g) plus an open-end zip fastener, a small zip fastener for pocket and a buckle.

Test squares:
Weave stitch: 100 sts 36 cm, 100 rows = 18 cm
Stocking stitch : 100 sts = 36 cm, 100 rows = 27.5 cm
