3S stands for Super-wide, Super Simple! A wide, shallow, garter-stitch triangle with options for decorative eyelet rows, and two pretty bind-off options.

While written for fingering weight yarn and small needles, more adventurous Ravelers can certainly use the same instructions with heavier yarn and larger needles … remember, if using a heavier yarn, you’ll need more of it!
