A Sweater Copy from the Setesdal Museum
This is a traditional pattern that Sundbø has charted and photographed. She provides a “recipe” for making sweaters in various sizes using the charts in this book as a starting point.
Yarn choice is up to the knitter although traditionally the sweaters were made in a fingering weight. Gauge and needle size will be dependent upon the yarn choice and the size desired. The original sweaters were tightly knitted at a gauge of about 32 stitches and 40 rows in 10 centimeters/4 inches.
