Adalida Cardigan
Designed to fit and flatter, this body conscious cardigan has many designer details, including a shaped waist, ribbed collar, half sleeves with turned cuffs that button in place, welt pockets, cutaway front hem, and a curved lower edge. It is sure to become a wardrobe staple. (Shown in size S-34” bust)
This pattern is rated as experienced and includes the following techniques: provisional cast-ons, short rows, M1 increases, knitting in the round with DPNs, picking up stitches, making welt pockets, and making single row buttonholes.

MATERIALS
- 5 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8) 3.5 oz./ 100g balls (each approx. 164 yds./ 150m) of Knit Picks City Tweed HW™ (merino, superfine alpaca, Donegal tweed) in lemon curd (soft yellow)
- One pair each in sizes US 8 (5mm) and 6 (4mm) needles
- One size US 8 (5mm) circular needle, 60”
- One size US 6 (4mm) circular needle, 28”
- Set of size US 6 (4mm) DPNs OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
- One 1⅜”/ 34mm button
- Two 1”/25mm buttons
- One 1”/25mm clear backer button (optional)
- Stitch holder, stitch markers
- Waste yarn
- Safety pin, or split ring st marker

Left front: (Correction is in bold)
Pocket Setup: Next row (RS): k6 sts, k next 14 sts using waste yarn. Slide these 14 st back to left hand needle. Resume with working yarn, and k across these 14 sts worked in waste yarn, and k5 (7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23) sts to end of row. Work 1 row even.
