Miniature Christmas Tree
Pattern available with either UK or US terms
The pattern will make a 1:12th scale Christmas tree and decorations, which will store flat. If you do not wish to make a miniature tree, then the branches can be made in white and used as snowflakes on a full size tree.
The crochet pattern is dual purpose and can be used either in a miniature setting or as a small decoration for a table setting or desk.
This tree is not suitable for children under 14 due to the use of a pointed stick for the central support.
Materials required: 1.5 mm crochet hook, wooden skewer or old bamboo knitting needle (up to 3 mm diameter) approx 15 cm/6-inches long, 50 metres No 10 crochet cotton in green, 5 metes No 10 crochet cotton in brown, 30 metres No 10 crochet cotton in red and oddments of No 10 crochet cotton in white, plasticine/modeling clay or a tiny flowerpot to stand the tree in, thin thread or wire to attach star. Tacky glue – optional.
Note: Requirements for stiffening materials are given in the pattern
Approximate finished size: 6-inches/15 cm tall
Ability level: easy
There is no gauge given for this pattern, as gauge is unimportant for this project because trees come in varying sizes and shapes! Just enjoy making the project…..
