This pattern is for small amigurumi dolls. It’s a basic pattern intended to teach the construction of the basic body parts (head, body, etc.) and therefore hasn’t been developed for the creation of any specific character. Rather, at the end of the pattern, you can see some photographs of characters I’ve made with this pattern and some basic instructions on how to do so yourself. The “adjustable ring” in this pattern is made using as many stitches as you can fit into it unless otherwise stated. This means that, when the pattern is followed exactly, the finished project will differ in size depending on the yarn and hook sizes used. You can also add or omit increase or decrease rows to make your doll larger or smaller using this pattern. I wrote the pattern for the benefit of beginners (as I was when I first discovered amigurumi), so you can, of course, feel free to skip the more detailed instructions if you already know what you’re doing. This pattern uses US terminology and abbreviations.
