Amigurumi Mouse
When Mouse first showed up on my hook, I never would have guessed the challenges this little guy would present. You see, Mouse is a knitter. Apparently, a quite good one (well, at least in his own mind). And so, Mouse took it upon himself to teach me how to knit — “properly.”
About This Pattern:
This pattern uses both crochet and knit techniques. Mouse is crocheted in the round using the following stitches:
CH chain stitch
SC single crochet
DECR single crochet decrease
Mouse’s sweater is written both as a knit pattern and as a crochet pattern. If following the knit pattern, you will need to know the following stitches:
K knit
P purl
YO yarn over
SL slip stitch
K2TOG knit 2 stitches together
P2TOG purl 2 stitches together
PSSO pass slipped stitch over
If you choose to crochet Mouse’s sweater, you will need to know how to do a front post double crochet (FPDC) in addition to the stitches identified above.
Materials:
This pattern uses a size F and E crochet hooks, size 3 knitting needles, Knit Picks Dishie Yarn (1 skein), Knit Picks Wool of The Andes Yarn (1/2 skein), 9 mm plastic safety eyes, embroidery thread, and fiber fill. Exact yarn color requirements are detailed in the pattern.
