When finished, this cute monkey (inspired by the “Harold and the Purple Crayon” series) will be 8” x 5.5” – with a tail that is 5” long. Now, it’s time to go bananas and start crocheting!

Required Skills:

• Create a magic circle (or magic ring)

• Crocheting in a round

• Decrease stitches (invisible decreasing is used for this project)

• Embroidering

• Increase stitches

• Sewing pieces together to form the doll

• Single crochet

Materials Needed for this Project:

• Size G/7 or 4.25mm Crochet Hook

• Size E/5 or 3.50mm Crochet Hook (for the ears)

• Yarn Needle

• Stitch Marker

• Scissors

• Polyester Fiberfill

• Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver Solids—1 skein for each color)
o Coffee for back of head, body, arms, legs, ears, and tail
o Buff for head
o Claret for eyes, eyebrows, nostrils, and mouth
