• Changing yarn colors

• Create a magic circle (or magic ring)

• Crocheting in a round

• Crocheting in front loops and back loops

• Decrease stitches (invisible decreasing is used for this project)

• Double Crochet

• Embroidering

• Half Double Crochet

• Increase stitches

• Sewing pieces together to form the doll

• Single crochet

Materials Needed for this Project:

• Size E/5 or 3.50mm Crochet Hook (for eyes, nose, gem, and stars)

• Size G/7 or 4.25mm Crochet Hook (for the rest of the doll)
• Yarn Needle

• Polyester Fiberfill

• Medium Worsted Weight Yarn (Red Heart Super Saver yarn was used for the majority of this project--1 skein for each color)
o Orchid for head, nose, body, and arms
o Black for tank top and stars (on pants)
o White for eyes and boots
o Claret (or plum purple) for pants
o Soft Navy for eyes

• Caron Simply Soft “Orchid” yarn (for hair) (1 skein)

• Red Heart Super Saver Accent “Bright Orchid” yarn (for gem) (1 skein)

• Very fine black yarn for the embroidering (Cascade Ultra Pima yarn has been used for this project--1 skein)
