A hat inspired by my friend Annie and her very own Prairie Hat.
This hat is a size small, for people without a lot of hair (i.e. no dreads).
This should be a good project for a beginner -- it includes the basics of knit, k2tog, ssk, and the most basic crochet chaining for the ties (or you can knit an I-cord for the ties).
Knowledge (or the ability to search the internet) of how to make Pom-Poms is required.
Any Bulky yarn should work, or even a worsted weight yarn held double.
Size 11-12 circular needles and a size 5mm crochet hook for the ties.
