After tiring of Apollo’s advances, the nymph Daphne begged the gods for rest. The gods obliged-and turned her into a laurel tree. Apollo, recognizing that it was Daphne, took a branch and made it into a wreath, and placed it on his head so that she would always be with him.

Here is a laurel leaf wreath of your own to knit and wear.

Materials: Green cowl was knit using 1 skein of Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball
Multi-colored cowl was knit using 1 skein of Knit Picks Chroma Fingering
(or approximately 396 yds of a fingering weight yarn of your choice)

US 7-4.5mm 24” circular needle-
or needle size to obtain gauge

stitch markers (if desired)
