This squishy hat is knit in an extra-simple two-color brioche pattern (eight stitches and just four rounds!). The hat is reversible (like all two-color brioche) and its stretchy, lofty texture is light enough for fall days but insulating enough for cold winter days. This pattern includes directions for a dk weight hat; a variation can be knitted in bulky-weight yarn (instructions in “Variations” on p. 2). You can adjust the pattern to make hats with other weights, other sizes or ages by adjusting the number of stitches, as long as you use a multiple of eight stitches.
