I made this Cowl Pattern from the Qiviut/Angora blend from Cottage Craft Angora. This yarn is so luxurious and expensive. I have been tying to come up with patterns that use only one ball so I can make beautiful gifts for family and friends without the outrageous cost of pre-made. This cowl uses less than one ball of any of the 2ply lace qiviut or qiviut blends from Cottage Craft Angora. My patterns are super easy lace. I use yarn overs, k2 together, and k2together through the back loops in this pattern. The shaping comes from using 3 different needle sizes. Super easy and so pretty! Cowl is knit in the round on 16” circular needles. The pattern is 8 stitches (repeated 14 times around) x 8 rounds. This could easily be a weekend knit for a quick gift!
You could use any 2ply lace yarn to make this pattern. As it uses so little yarn it is a great stash buster pattern to have on hand.
Knitting gauge is not so improtant with this project as it is a one size fits all project.
