Arm Knit Cabled Blanket
The idea that you can make this gorgeous cable-knit blanket with just your arms and a pile of yarn still makes me giggle. How chic would this look as a throw on your sofa? Cables are an easy, traditional pattern, but the large scale is disarmingly modern.
Materials:
-
1080 yds (987 m) of ‘big’ super-bulky yarn, in three 360-yd (329 m) lengths (traditionally 1.75 - 2 st per in). A lightweight jumbo yarn (1.5 st per in) can also be used.
-
Contrasting scrap yarn or cardboard tube for cabling
