I was inspired by the Moore curve (a continuous fractal space-filling curve), in other words a never ending line which totally fills a space. By using two stages of the curve I liked the contrast of making a shape, so in came the gecko. It is done in interlocking crochet which was perfect to bring forward the pattern. The pattern files include instructions on the technique.

My finished blanket measures 1,30m wide x 2m long.
