Ataurique Jacket
The Spanish word ataurique comes from the Arabic word tawriq and describes stylized flower and plant motifs. Atauriques are found frequently as decorative elements in Islamic art and architecture of medieval moorish Al-Andalus. The pattern for this jacket is inspired by a wall decoration made of plaster in the famous court of lions in the Alhambra in Granada (Spain).
