Using the same stitch pattern as the Symbiotic cowl, the Autonomous makes the perfect complement to your outer wear wardrobe.
Don’t wear cowls? No worries, Autonomous has no problem being the solo star of the show.

This hat can be knit all in one color or for more punch, add in a second color for the pompom.
Have you sometimes stumbled on pretty leftovers in your stash where the colors make a good match, but they can’t be used together because their yarns weights are just too different?
Now, now can pair them in one hat by making the pompom from a different yarn, because for this, the yarn weight doesn’t matter.

Autonomous has one other great advantage! It is reversible :) So attach your huge pompom to the safety pin and you can wear it on either side of your hat.

Materials:
* The Plucky Knitter Traveler Aran (65% Merino, 20% Silk, 15% Yak) 115g/ 220 yards (201 meters):
hat: 1 (1, 1) skein or approx. 160 (190, 220) yards {146 (174, 201) meters} of aran weight yarn that knits up to gauge;
pompom: approx. 80 yards (74 meters) of any aran weight yarn.
Alternatively, you can use leftovers of a contrasting color for a pom-pom.
The sample is knit with Early Light and Medieval (for pom-pom).

• US 5 (3.75 mm) & 7 (4.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needles
• US 5 (3.75 mm) DPNs

Mit dem gleichen Strickmuster, wie er im „Symbiotic“-Halswärmer verwendet wurde, ist die Pudelmütze „Autonomous“ die ideale Ergänzung für jede Wintergarderobe. Hat man für Schlauchschals nicht allzu viel übrig, macht „Autonomous“ auch solo etwas her. Entweder ganz Ton-in-Ton oder mit einer kontrastfarbigen Bommel – diese Mütze ist der Star der Show!
Auch farblich harmonierende Reste, bei denen die Garnstärken nicht zusammenpassen, können auf diese Weise gemeinsam aufgebraucht werden – mit einer Bommel in beliebigem anderen Garn, selbst aus zusammengestoppelten Resten, ist man aus dem Schneider.
Das ist jedoch längst nicht alles, was „Autonomous“ an Vorteilen zu bieten hat: Als Wendemütze mit abnehmbarer Bommel kann sie beidseitig getragen werden!
