Construction Notes

  1. The skeins of Sea Three I purchased were 264 yds each. The yd length stored in Ravelry’s database is different (164 yds), so please be sure to note that should you use the same brand of yarn for this sweater.
  2. Recommend using a solid colored yarn as hand-painted yarns will look different in various parts of the sweater based on how that section was knit.
  3. The sleeve’s current measurements create an empire waistline. If you desire a lower seam, widen the overall width of the sleeves.
  4. The body can also be knit separate from the sleeves (and/or flat) and seamed later. I chose to pick up stitches in the round to limit the amount of seaming needed.
  5. Widen or narrow the neckline by varying the length of the opening. You can also add a cowl, ribbed collar or any other embellishments.
  6. I originally knit my sweater with a body that was 132 sts in the round. This was just a little snug for my tastes so I added 6 additional sts to the pattern.
  7. Always use a row counter when cabling.
