Ayako's Vest
This pattern is available as an individual pdf or as part of the Springy Things Collection. If you previously purchased Ayako’s Vest and wish to purchase the Springy Things Collection, $5 will automatically be deducted from the collection price.
Ayako’s Vest is the first piece in my Springy Things Collection, which also includes Vaguely Reminiscent and the Lima Shrug.
This is a pattern that I designed for Classic Elite’s Farmer’s Market pamphlet. This is my original pattern, and it varies from the version that Classic Elite published in several important respects: 1) There are 6 sizes, rather than 5. 2) For sizes 37” / 94 cm and above, actual (or close to actual) crossback measurements are used for the back width at the crossback. The classic elite version was edited to make this measurement significantly wider. 3) For all sizes, the chest circumference is slightly different - this should not be very significant but there is a difference. The projects shown in the Classic Elite version’s projects page should be representative of the final piece for smaller sizes. Larger sizes will have a more fitted appearance when made following this pattern.
Lace instructions are both written and charted. The pattern has been professionally tech edited to reduce the possibility for error, but if you have questions or believe that you have found an error, please contact me.
