Notes: The Azulejo Pouch is worked in rounds of single crochet (on the right side only) from the bottom up in the technique of Tapestry Crochet.
To carry yarn, an additional strand of yarn is placed parallel to the work, over the top two loops of the stitches being crocheted into, and then crocheted under and over it, so that the new stitch forms around the additional yarn, enclosing it within. The carried yarn thus disappears in the body of the work, making the finished piece denser and more durable than regular crochet. Pattern uses US crochet terms throughout.
