This is an easy pattern, even for beginners. It’s very effective without being complicated, it works up quickly and makes a lovely gift for a new baby.

The pattern was written in British English, so the DC (double crochet) in American English is actually a SC (single crochet)**

If you scaled the pattern up (which there are notes on doing in the pattern) you could easily turn this into an effective bedspread or if you changed what yarn you crochet with, you could make a floor rug…. it’s a versatile easy pattern…. my favourite kind!
