This pattern is knitted in the round in Valley Yarns Superwash wool on size 6 needles, but it can be knit in any worsted weight yarn.

Newborn hat circumference is ~ 14” and 4” tall with natural roll brim
3-6 is ~ 16” and 5” tall
6-12 is ~ 18” and 5 1/2” tall
12+M ~20” and 6”

I used Valley Yarns super was merino wool in crimson with grass green for stem and sepals.

Hat can be made with 16” size 6 circular needles or double pointed.

Of course that hat can be made longer or shorter, and I sometimes go up a needle size if I need to work the baby hats in a crunch timeline, or for a slightly larger headed baby!
