This pattern was created at the time of one of my daughters having a baby, to replace the boring white tricot hat that comes in the baby box all new mothers in Finland receive from the social security.

There is only one size in the pattern and it fits from birth to 2-3 months.

The hat requires about ½ ball of the bamboo yarn. I have used Hjertegarn Blend Bamboo but you can use yarn of the weight of about 50g=150m / 1.76 oz=164 yards. Bamboo is lovely for a baby when it is not very cold.
